Middlefield, CT is a small town of less than 5,000 people that was part of Middletown until 1866. Middlefield is only 13 square miles, but consists of sprawling acres of forests and orchards.

The farm market sits next to a small pond and geese and ducks are there to feed. Inside, you'll find Lyman's famous high-top apple pies and a sandwich deli for lunch. Fresh produce, including mostly Connecticut-grown items, is also sold in the market.
Middlefield also has ice skating ponds, a small beach on Lake Beseck off of Route 147, and the Metacomet Ridge, which contains both Higby and Besek Mountains.
